BB's First Birthday Pics

Busy weekend -- BB's birthday party on Saturday, and Nana Jan here to visit, so lots going on but lots of fun. The party was a casual affair, just cupcakes, family, a few close friends. BB definitely liked her cupcake! She'd had some practice on Thursday, her actual birthday, so she knew what all this sweet stuff was about.

Not so excited about the hat concept, though. The hat says "One is Fun!" and she's having anything but. We have a similar pic of BJ for his first birthday, though he was more deadpan than upset. (And are we smart or just cheap for keeping the same hats and first birthday candle to reuse? Second child syndrome for sure. Sorry, BB. It's the kind of thing my dad would appreciate, though. The man saves everything, just in case it comes in handy someday.)

The "Sir Lance A Little" from Pop-pop and Giki was definitely a favorite gift.

Still working on the opening presents thing; luckily, her older brother was more than happy to help.

I still can't believe she's a year old!
