BJ's First Written Sentence

Much to my surprise, BJ wrote his first sentence today. I'd set him to work on a thank you card for Pop-Pop and Giki, expecting the usual result of a few crayon scribbles on the paper. When I came back to check on him, he announced, "I wrote I Love You! But the You is kinda funny looking." The purple crayon was pretty faint, so it was hard to get a good pic, but since we'd be sending it to my folks I wanted something for posterity:

Three years and three days old, and he's started writing. By himself!

Will anybody believe me when I say that I've not been drilling him? We traced a few letters on his birthday, while playing his "Alphabet Squiggle" game, and I've encouraged him to mess around with crayons, but honestly that's been about it.

(Sorry to ruin the surprise, Mom and Dad, but I couldn't help myself. As soon as I saw what he'd done, I knew I'd have to post about it. Today. I guess it's official: I'm a blogger!)
