She's playing with one of our felt board sets, the one with zoo animals. And, as usual, BJ is reading in the background, totally unconcerned. I missed the first part of the song, which was a listing of how each of the animals said "I love you" to her and her brother, complete with the animal's little dance. She's still doing a little of this at the beginning, but then it quickly changes to how the animals are sad. No worries, though, because very soon everybody is doing a dance together! "Everybody began to do a dance!" And then everybody comes to dinner and lays down to sleep. "Bum-bum!" She ends most of her songs, as well as some of the verses within them, with this little vocalization. Makes me smile every time.

Song and Dance
At any given moment during her play, it is likely that BB will burst forth into improvised song. I love it that my little girl seems to live in her own musical! I keep trying to get it on video, and I finally managed to record a little bit.
