It's been great fun hearing her talk about Inch Bedinch. He fixes kids' toys, sleeps, eats, plays fun games, and makes mischief in general. The other night, she told us that she'd made up a song about Inch Bedinch. And then proceeded to sing it, naturally. What was interesting to me was that she sang the same song, almost word for word and with the same tune, several times in a row. It truly was something she'd "made up," not just something she was doing impromptu on the spot. Of course I couldn't resist trying to record it for posterity -- and she was happy to cooperate by repeating it for the camera. Yay!

Inch Bedinch
BB has added another character to the household population of individuals, imaginary and otherwise: Inch Bedinch. S has suggested that Inch Bedinch has the makings of a children's book; we shall see. This much is clear: for BB, the adventures of Inch Bedinch follow one of the typical plot arcs from children's literature. "Inch Bedinch was bad. Then he turned out to be good!"

that just gave me almost as big a smile as bb's.
Glad it made you smile, Cathy! Today's installments in the continuing saga of Inch Bedinch -- BB was listing off titles of songs that she wanted to sing about Inch Bedinch, including Inch Bedinch Goes to the Fair and Inch Bedinch Gets Eaten By a Shark!
that's great!
