Poor Mommy

A nasty spring cold has taken up lodging in my sinuses, along with a touch of fever, so I've been spending most of the last few days in bed. Thankfully, S has been able to be around helping out with the kids.

Other good news: it doesn't seem to have spread to the other members of the family. Yet.

The kids have taken to saying "Poor Mommy!" as I sniffle and cough. BB will occasionally pat my cheek gently. BJ, with his love of all things having to do with human anatomy, has been asking me how my white blood cells are doing.

It's sweet to see them so empathetic, but I have to say I'd prefer to be healthy and have them run roughshod over me the way they usually do.

Immune system, do thy stuff. And quickly, please!
