During spring break, BB and BJ had many opportunities to play together. They weren't always as wonderful about it as one might wish, but for the most part they did really well. It's fascinating to see them figuring out how to go about this -- how to intersect BJ's interests and BJ's imaginative world with BB's. Case in point: when BB is playing with her fairies in the dollhouse, and BJ wants to join in with his dinosaurs, what happens?
I was able to catch some of it on video! (Apologies for the laundry in process in the background!)
I love how at this age so much of play is actually setting things up. BB already had most of the things she needed, having dragged the dollhouse and accessories into the living room, but BJ kept leaving to get more props. Here's what the setup looked like from the other side:
If only they'd always play together so nicely!
