Today while BB was at preschool, BJ and I tried out one of the science kids he received for his birthday. This one was a "make your own slime" kit from Auntie L and T, and BJ loved it!

We made "protoplasmic slime" from sodium tetraborate solution and guar gum. After we mixed it up in the jar (see, there was a good reason I was saving that empty pickle jar!) BJ "released" it...
Ewww! Neat! Lots of ooey, gooey fun! Thanks, L and T! Next time we'll try making it magnetic or color changing -- or even glow in the dark! It looks like a nifty kit that will be fun for some time to come.
