In the spirit of embracing imperfection, I gave myself a week off from blogging -- was nice to have a bit of a break. Much of the week was spent on household organization and finishing up some of the home decor projects that I *finally* got around to tackling. (Yes, we moved in two years ago this month, and just this past week got around to hanging up curtains. And pictures above the couch.) In addition to completing the living room, I've overhauled the kids' playroom where I added more storage and replaced the train table that had become a repository for all sorts of junk. Now we have room to dance, as evidenced by BB (in fairy guise) and room to read, as BJ illustrates so nicely.
Also room for kittens to play and hang out in the sunshine -- when not covered by BB's shadow, that is!
It's really nice to have some open space in the apartment, especially since we've added some furniture in the living room. It's been a lot of work, but worth it. As BB put it, "It's like we have a whole new house, Mom!"
Now I just need to find time to vacuum.... or perhaps all those scraps on the carpet can be just another exercise in imperfection! It's definitely been a less-than-perfect week, for all I've gotten accomplished. No guitar practicing, no crafting, and alas not as much patience as I should have, especially with the imperfection of others. Working on it.
